Following the line of TTP by Malcolm Gladwell I will be looking to a lot of small things right, which hopefully will add up to a big edge over the field in the long run.

Why keep a diary?
My goal is to play great HU poker every time. My game at the moment is not great, but I feel I know how to play great, or at least better. This means a lot of reviewing. I try to go through every match after its conclusion and try to see what sort of decisions I made on the crucial hands. Hopefully I can learn from my mistakes and become better.
As the calculations from earlier post show, the line between success and failure, or modest and decent profit is very slim. The higher the level, the better the player and in order to be one of the winners, one really needs to get as much of an edge as possible. Writing this diary will hopefully help me pick out my weaknesses and help formulate ways to improve and keep my nose ahead.

Progress will be slow
Progress will be slow. Work and life mean I cannot play every day but I will look to average at least 30mins per day at the table over 2009, and see where this takes me.
The following calculations will show just how slowly this will progress:
[input pphr calcs]
I will endeavour to update the diary after each match or session.

Heads Up Poker
The following diary is dedicated exclusively to Heads Up Sit and Go (HUSNG) poker matches.
At present I am playing at the $10+50c level at Full Tilt Poker (FTP).
I have played previously at the $2+15c and $5+25c level with success results over an albeit small sample. [input stats]
I have a bankroll of $xxxx which is enough to support at the next level ($20+$1), but I am not planning to make the move up until I feel like I have beaten the $10 game.
